Welcome to the Château of Montfrin, one of France’s historical monuments, an authentic locus of culture and history. Montfrin, in the department of the Gard, gets its name from the latin Mons Fremens, or “wild beast mountain”, where animals fleeing the floods of the Rhône and Gardon rivers sought refuge. Today other “wild beasts” live in Montfrin, some, even, who guide their passion to cultivating the vines and olive orchards.
